Refund Policy

Withdrawal of Entry
If you wish to withdraw from the Event, either as an individual or team entry you must do so prior to 6pm on Sunday 20 October. All withdrawal requests must be made to the Organiser by email – entries@duoclassic.com.au. Please note that any refund or credit will be less a $10 administration fee. All refunds will be by direct bank deposit within 21 days of receipt of request. The decision of the Organiser is final.

If you wish to withdraw from this event after 6pm on Sunday 20 October, no refund will apply unless a medical certificate is provided to the Organiser by email – entries@duoclassic.com.au .  Participants have 14 days following the event to provide the Organiser with the medical certificate. Please note that any refund made will be less a $10 administration fee.  All refunds will be by direct bank deposit within 21 days of receipt of medical certificate. The decision of the Organiser is final.

Delay, Modification or Cancellation of Event
EVENT START TIME The event is deemed to have started at the advertised Event Start Time for the Race Briefing on Sunday 27 October 2019.

The Organiser, in its sole discretion may, prior to the commencement of the event delay, modify, or cancel the Event if it believes the conditions on the race day are or will be unsafe. If the Event is delayed, modified, or cancelled for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God or the elements (including without limitation, wind, rough water, rain, hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake), acts of terrorism, fire, threatened or actual strike, labour difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, flood, unavoidable casualty, race course conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of the Organiser there shall be a choice of transfer of entry to a re-scheduled event (if applicable) or 100% refund of any participant entry fees paid. There will be no payment for any other costs incurred by participants in connection with the event.

The Organiser, in its sole discretion, may delay, modify, or cancel the Event if it believes the conditions on the race day are or will be unsafe following the commencement of the event. If the Event is delayed, modified, or cancelled for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God or the elements including without limitation, wind, rough water, rain, hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake), acts of terrorism, fire, threatened or actual strike, labour difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, flood, unavoidable casualty, race course conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of the Organiser there may be a pro-rata refund of any participant entry fees paid in accordance to consumer laws. There will be no payment for any other costs incurred by participants in connection with the event.

Transfer of Entry by Participant
A participant may transfer their Event entry to another rider without penalty prior to 6pm on Sunday 20 October.  A participant may transfer their entry to another rider after 6pm on Sunday 20 October and prior to 6pm Wednesday 23 October but there will be no refund given if transferring to a shorter distance category. If transferring to a longer distance category the extra amount of the new category fee must be paid. All transfer requests must be made to the Organiser by email – entries@duoclassic.com.au .

Exclusion from the Event
The Organiser reserves the right to exclude any entrant or participant from Off Road Activities, for reasons including but not limited to:

  • failing to comply with the Organiser’s directions;
  • failing to comply with MTBA Code of Conduct;
  • failing to comply with MTBA Anti-Doping Policy;
  • not being in the opinion of the Organiser in a fit state to participate;
  • being un-financial or owing monies to MTBA unless an alternative arrangement has been made.
  • for any reason determined by the Organiser, which determination shall be deemed reasonable.
